Winter holiday bonus gone

Question

Since being forced to do update, today, within app, the winter holiday bonus pops up yet takes me to normal game board. There are no icons for it in my message box either.

I know that a lot of King promotions only go out to a certain number of players. Maybe with the update it meant that you don't have it anymore.

I'd be happy if that were the case but I get the pop up when i open the app, that alerts me to the bonus round for that day, but it leads to just the normal game. And up until I updated it, I was able to play them. Surely they're not gonna basucally say  'look what you're missing out on.....merry xmas'.......or maybe a developer went rogue....
