CC and Chrome and Flash

I'm using Chrome that is saying it is up to date and therefore Flash is up to date. But CC will not load and it is saying that Flash is not up to date.. this is crap

Does it tell you the same after clearing cache and doing a restart on your PC?

I find this page https://www.whatismybrowser.com/ pretty helpful; it will indicate you if something's missing and it gives you the chance to update accordingly.
