i cannot connect to Facebook in Candy Crush saga on iPad2

For no apparent reason I suddenly found that I was not connected to Facebook in Candy Crush.  No amount of trying re-connected me. I even uninstalled as re-installed the app as suggested and found I was back to level 1. As I was on level 1431 at the time this is a real issue. All software up to date. My iPhone 4s is still connected and I can connect through facebook on PC. Any suggestions please?

Partly found the answer to this myself. Although Facebook was listed as installed on the iPad the 'app' was not. I have installed it and regained my levels. Unfortunately it has removed all my dozens of boosters I had gained. I can live with that but it is very annoying.!!!!
