Candy Crush crashing after recent update

Candy Crush was working fine until I updated it on my iPod, iOS 6. The game opens, when I tap to play it immediately crashes.

I've noticed that the graphics upon opening appear slow for a minute and the sound is a bit weird ... then it crashes.

I cannot update my iOS and I have over 3gbs of storage left. I refuse to delete/reinstall all the power ups I've collected and spent money on.

How often does King release an update? I'm hoping that the next one will fix this issue.

I haven't tried the other King games yet to see if they are giving me issues, except Blossom Saga and that one works fine.

What generation iPod Touch do you use? The game's FAQ's indicate that you should at least have an iPod Touch 4th generation or it won't work.

I think you can restore purchased items but not free saved boosters and lives. These are meant to be used and not to be endlessly saved I'm afraid.

Is there something I’m missing with level 13218, I can’t pass it, not even close.
I’m ready to give up and delete the game all together. It really seems like the people behind the game just want my money. Making levels impossible and trying to tempt me to purchase moves and boosters. No.
Issue with game.
My blue candies are not being counted. I've been playing and beating new levels for 2 hours and I'm still only at 105 blues. I would like to see it fixed if possible, I'm now way behind because of it!
