Dreamworld Always Shows 5 Lives Remaining

When I play the levels in Dreamworld, it always shows that I have 5 lives remaining.  I have to exit Dreamworld to discover exactly what the situation is re lives.  Surely this is a bug?

    Sadly, no, which is why I have to keep leaving Dreamworld to ascertain the situation re lives.

    How does this affect your game play? Does it mean you´re having unlimited lives in Dreamworld? 

    I have unlimited lives. If you fail a level it'll say retry? If I click that and I don't actually have lives left it'll tell me how long until I get another life. I close that and click on the level again and can play no problem.
