what are the circles with checks in them for ?

How do I use the circles  with the check marks  in them  in combination  with other  candies?   They  don't seem to do snything.   How do the flying saucers  work?

The check marks are activated when they are part of a normal colour line match or when they are in the line of fire of a special candy. They will then turn into something useful such as a special candy or something you are targeting in the level.

Flying saucers may be swapped with any candy and will then set and activate 3 wrapped candies at random positions on the board.
