cant figure out how to unlock the ingredients to get them to drop to pass this level
You need to release and then clear 5 (possibly 6?) keys which is, as you've noticed, very difficult to do (those striped candies just never line-up in the right places, do they?) The good news is that once you've done that you only need to clear space underneath the ingredients to get them down into the lower section. You won't need to slide them out sideways.
If you have coconut wheels available this is a good level to use them on.
