Games won't open on my 4th gen iPod with ios 6.1.1

I have downloaded candy crush saga and candy crush jelly saga on my iPod but they will not load. I get taken to the first screen to connect with Facebook or play and when I do either of those in both games, I am taken back to my home screen. I have uninstalled, freed memory and this still hasn't fixed it.

I'm not sure that the old iPod is supported still. I remember seeing that the iPad 2 is no longer supported and that's more recent. Especially with 6.1.1 software. I think you might be out of luck with that device sorry!
