Can't sync facebook to candy crush saga on my kindle

I have been playing Candy Crush Saga on my Kindle Fire for a few years. I always connect to facebook when playing. About a week ago, I got a message stating that I don't have access to the kingdom right now, try again later. I have tried and tried several "fixes" but nothing works.  I checked my Facebook page and I no longer even see Candy Crush. Tried to reinstall but it just brings me back to my game that is installed on kindle.  How can I get it back to connect to facebook?

There are some steps here to follow. They are for android but the principal is the same really:

If you can't find the game on your facebook maybe it's been deleted? I think you need it there to synchronize.

Load...or reload...the Facebook app from the app store on to your kindle.  After successfully accomplishing this, turn the kindle off and on.  This worked for me.
