Difficulty in downloading of games

Have been a player of Soda, Saga, and Jelly for quite a long time.  A situation has occurred when downloading a game by choosing a particular game number, the program reverts back to to game icons on an Ipad.  When it does this, it takes away a life.  I did not want to reload the game for fear or losing games already played. What is happening?

If more than one game is having issues then it suggests that it's your device that needs to be looked at.
