Why does my game freeze after a purchase?

I have version 1.84 and my game keeps freezing after a purchase. I already used boosters and gold coins to try to beat the board and now they are all lost. This happened 3 previous times, but I never reached out until now when I've already spent money on a board I can't finish. I'm about ready to delete the game all together at this point. Every $5- $15 gold bar purchase adds up and now the game is practically stealing money.
