I have an ipad2 and can't load candy crush. It loads but when I push play it goes back home

I have an iPad2 and is updated. When I try to open candy crush it loads but when play is pushed it goes back to my home page. Help

From what I understand Mary, the iPad is no longer supported. So the games might not function properly.
