Hi, my mum, who's a technophobic seventy-something, has been playing Candy Crush for the last few years, making steady but painstakingly slow progress.
She has reached lvl 878 (or thereabouts) and is still loving the game. It is still important to her - it wouldn't be an understatement to say it occupies a significant part of her day.
At least, it did until I persuaded her to set up a Facebook account and sync her game. I'll explain what happened in detail, because it might be relevant.
She has been playing the Candy Crush app from the app store on her iPad mini. She has never registered the game, so there is, to the best of my knowledge, no email associated with her progress other than the one she uses to connect with the app store. She downloaded the Facebook app from the app store and used it to create a new account. When her account was confirmed, I signed into Candy Crush using Facebook.
When the game started, she was reset to lvl 1 and appeared to be signed as ME. This didn't make sense as I don't play the game.
I opened Safari and saw that my Facebook account was open - I had used her device to access it some weeks ago and never logged out.
I logged out of my Facebook and logged into Candy Crush using her log in details.
She was still at lvl 1.
Given the above scenario, is there any way for my mum to recover her progress.
Thanks in advance,
Steve
P.S. she would be mortified if I can't fix this, so any help would be hugely appreciated!
