Dexter's game glitch

I was in first place at 1500 points in the striped candy challenge and when I reopened Candy Crush Saga later the tournament had disappeared. I have since completed 3 levels, including my first super hard level! It had 10 more hours in the tournament. I tried closing out and reopening the app. I have noticed many others have had a glitch. I will wait for your reply. Or for my stripped candy points to be added to my total, as I'm almost done with the chapter. I've never made it to number 1, sure would be cool to see what happens.
