Why do the bonus levels disappear before time is up?

Every time the magic helmets, the treasure chests, collecting stripe candies, etc. begin it says I have 48 hours before the bonus feature deletes; however, anytime I exit the game, these features disappear within minutes. The only hour limit that is consistent is waiting in between levels. Does anyone know how to remedy this?
