Why is there no special candy to collect get boosters on the levels after you don't win with 1 life?

Why is there no "special candy" to collect to get boosters after you don't complete a level with 1 life???
I'm on the HTML5 version....and I thought you could collect "special candy" on each new level, but when you don't win a level with 1 life you can't collect those "special candy".
