Facebook Friends No Longer Visible

I recently updated to IOS 11 and have Candy Crush v. 1.109.0.6 and I realize I can’t see my Facebook Friends. I have done all of the troubleshooting steps (disconnect, restart the iPhone, reconnect Facebook) with the same results. I can see them on the ranking page (who has the #1, #2, etc scores) but I can not visibly see them in the map, nor can I send them a life (envelope is grayed out.)

What additional steps can I try to get visibility of my Facebook friends’ progress?
