Some or all of the hazelnuts/cherries are disappearing mid level meaning you can't complete the level. Is this a glitch?

I'm struggling with this level too. I got close once but there were 2 missing, one cherry , one hazelnut when I cleared the others. thought maybe they never dropped. Very frustrating to be so close and not be able to finish!
