Level Up Bonuses

Curious, though I see others who have asked about this even 2 years ago with no response.  I just "leveled up" (from 17 to 18) and was shown an increase of 5 lives.  However, I got nothing.  Is this because I already had my five lives?  If so, are we supposed to try to time our level up to when we are on our last life?  Please, may a programmer answer.  This seems like another "bug."

You are 100% correct with what you wrote above!  You should try adding the lives when you have one life left.  Also since the envelope only holds 5 lives at a time increasing it won't bring it to a higher number.

So, since I cannot really control when I "level up," this is just one more aspect, like the numerous errors I have written about and been ignored, that ALL work in the favor of selling lives and moves.  Not surprising, but honesty would be refreshing.
