Gold bars failed to get extra moves

I am working on level 3356 which is very difficult. I just need 3 more licorices to pass, I have about 50 gold bars saved up, (l can't remember the exact mumber) so I spinned to get 5 extra moves. I did it 6 times, 4 times out of 6 got me boosters instead of 5 more moves. I was still unsuccessful in passing but am now run out of gold bars. I had wasted a lot of gold bars. I just do not understand what is the point of offering extra moves for gold bars if we are given boosters instead.
