Im on level 1849 and it is impossible to pass.. Is the game broken

I've watched the youtube videos on how to pass it but since the update the fish will not go after the blocks so the only way i see passing the level is spending money buying lollipop hammers to take out the blocks. Is this a problem for anyone else?
