Gold bars being removed from Candy Crushed

I buy gold bars from the piggy bank. When I turned my nook off about noon today, I  had 65 gold bars. Three  hours later I  turned it back on and all the gold bars are gone. I  didn't  use them  !!!  This happens often. This is my second question/ complaint about this. What's  going on? Wasting my money!!
