How can I get my lives to reset?

I have not been able to play for about a week on my phone. I went on vacation and restarted my phone and it changed my date to October 17th. Since then, Candy Crush shows that I have 100,000+ hours until my next life. I have tried connecting with and without Facebook, and restarting my phone. I do not want to reinstall the game and lose all of my extras. I'm saving that as a last resort and hoping that I can get help from someone before I have to do that
