Hi all,
Here's the thing: my mum reached level 1443 in Candy Crush Saga, and her Android tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab 4) and her Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge) were indeed synchronized together, but through an UNKNOWN Facebook account.
Indeed, when I click on the Facebook button, the app suggests to log in to Facebook, but the levels advance on both devices. I think this was because I synced her apps with an old Facebook account that has been deleted ever since.
Yesterday, I tried therefore to sync my mum's tablet with her new Facebook account, on both her new Samsung Galaxy S7 phone and her tablet, but - oh surprise! - instead of having level 1443, on both devices she was set back to level 1 !?!?!?!?
LUCKILY, I still had her game data on her former phone, the S6 Edge. Not wanting to take any further risks, I immediately rooted the phone and saved the app's data with Titanium Backup.
Then, I rooted both the new phone and the tablet to restore the game's data with Titanium Backup, and it worked!
However, I couldn't help notice, on whichever device, every time I try to sync those 1443 levels with ANY Facebook account, even an account that I never synced with Candy Crush before, I immediately get reset to level 1, so I have to restore the data with Titanium Backup again to fight against this!
I read this post: https://care.king.com/en/candy-crush-saga/facebook-sync-broken-since-last-update-how-to-get-it-fixed
And the solution is wrong, as I have on all devices the latest version of Candy Crush as of this day (19/10/2018).
Why the hell would King offer a Facebook sync if it is to push people to commit suicide out of reseting their game?My mum has been playing Candy Crush for years and she almost jumped off the window when she learned I lost her game progress. I was lucky enough to know to root Android and use Titanium Backup, what the hell would I have done otherwise?
Thanks for the help.
Kind regards
