You might want to have another look at level 1946 and King's answer to another player.

This level is only rated as HARD but the truth is there is no strategy for success with 1946... Incidentally that is my birth year.
It is a level that can only be won with the patience to wait for unusually great combos to appear with little personal control.
12 plays is not enough. Yes you explained why the videos show 18 moves but why is there a 6 play difference?
I quit once for a year or more over because of an earlier dead end board that had changed to easier after my absence... So please have another look at 1946.
