candy crush won't reinstall

I have played candy crush on my android for years.  Last week, I noticed I was unable to update the app so I uninstalled the app.  Now when trying to reinstall the app, I am getting an error that it is not compatible with my phone.  Please help!

Do not worry, your device supports this game 

Update the device software
If there is a software glitch, you can get rid of it by installing the latest software version. A new version will improve the overall performance of your device and its security and it will also bring bug fixes. If you didn’t enable automatic updates on your device, 
you can see if there is an update manually:
Connect your Android phone to the Wi-Fi Network. Go to Settings > About device, then tap System Updates > Check for Updates > Update to download and install the latest Android version.
Your phone will automatically reboot and upgrade to the new Android version when the installation completed..
Give me feedback after testing the causes.

It says there are no updates and the last one was installed over a month ago.  Candy crush stopped working last week

If nothing seems to work, maybe your device desperately needs a fresh start. Factory data reset will wipe everything off, all the apps, settings, etc. 

Don’t forget to backup your files!. connect your game with facebook or kingdom before starting.

Go to Settings

Tap Backup & Reset

Next, tap Factory data reset

Tap Reset phone or Reset tablet.
After doing this everything will become normal.

I don't think the issue is with my phone considering I know someone else who also has the same phone and they also are unable to install the game.
