I too am an OAP and I used to love playing, now I am sad as I really loved Candy Crush, I suppose I am luckier than you as I have two gold bars, I might get ten more when I complete the chocolate box but it could time out before I pass the awful game I have spent two days on with only a limited amount of lives.

I’ve been playing for over 10 years and I’m on level 5598. Long time players may not necessarily be at 9000-10000. The length of time playing should be the main factor if we’re talking grandfather rights.
Regardless, I’m playing less because the incentive is not there. Challenges running out of time is the most frustrating when there are lives sitting there in my inbox. But if we are willing to dish out money for extra lives, we can continue. King must think their players are easily conned. Keep thinking that……

I also want to address the comment in your explanation/note/post that the change was made to honor the "intent of" how lives were meant to be used. It's a little late to talk about how the game was "intended" to be played. We have been playing this way FOR YEARS. Also if I have 1000 friends and each friend sends me 1 life. I have 1000 lives that I should be able to use. These friends have been accumulated over years of playing.
