Yes you are right about thinking of happy things. I knew it, I have forgotten to do this lately. I' ll try to remember it.
I know from you that you had been under!a lot of stress in your previous job. Do you still feel under a lot of pressure nowadays? (except when competing at King's π)
There is almost no pressure at work now, but it is inconvenient to play games while working, but there are no restrictions on night shifts.
When I was angry about disappearing from the CCSS finals, I talked with my friends to relieve the pressure. It was a pleasure chatting with you and I was able to forget about the anger I felt at the time and instead accept the results and enjoy other people playing.

I tend to look at anger as a good energy that can help to transform things either outside or inside oneself so that what caused anger cannot have any more control on one's life.
