When did the race change to only the winner getting gold? Itβs hard enough to get gold and this way. pretty much my only way.

You are lucky to have Candy Royale at all. They took mine away a couple of months ago, and it hasn't reappeared. They must think I'm a cheat because I once won 500 gold (which was in a perfectly honest way) and then won it a few times more because I had that gold to help me. Whatever, I doubt it will come back.
Have a couple accounts, one still had gold bars for all finishers but I see none do now. I also won at least five, probably more, in a row but they took away my streak and put me back to 25 where you start from.π‘
Episode race is how I get gold bars too. Sometimes I get 20-30 in Candy Royal but its usually 14 or less. Plus in CR how many levels in a row needed to win is going up. I haven't had a 7 in a long time.
