Why can't my acct. play Candy Crush Saga with Chrome?

For the past few weeks, after YEARS of playing with Chrome on Facebook, I can no longer play Candy Crush Saga this way. I can play with my account using another browser AND I can play the game on FB Chrome using another account. The problem seems to be with this account, Chrome & FB. It started a few weeks ago after a Chrome update. I can't play either if I go to the Candy Crush Game page and hit "play Game". Either way, I get the King page part of the game, then nothing else. Only an option to "wait" or "exit page". Advice please?
