Sorry but some people claimed to have used gold to complete the win Of the party boosters. You can buy 10 boosters for 219 gold bars. I don't understand why people used their gold for this contest.

@christinewupp I have no idea on how I don't have an issue playing my high level game.I didn't know that my game was different until I started here on this forum. I assumed all the high levels were the same for everyone. From some of your post and my other family accounts I see that there are major differences. Makes no sense.
Hi @quekkc That is a great strategy you have there and a good point about losing boosters when you change phones. It's how I used to play for a long time myself. One problem is that King have become really mean with boosters to new players and my Candy Cup game was started back in the summer. Since then there have been far too few ways to get free boosters (for players without ads in their games at least). I have even had to buy coconut wheels at one point. So I have found playing for gold and spending what I need to on boosters a much better strategy as of late.
@cookiemae I used to play to win levels too, but after level 14,000 I just got bored with the repetitiveness of it all, those levels are just AI generated boring blocker frenzies. I still fail to understand how you can win those after a few tries without using party poppers. Even with a lucky board those take some knack to beat. So if you find you can, that is one awsome playing strategy to be sure. Enjoy your game, which ever way you play, folks!
I used up massive boosters in Candy Cup but keep the gold from episode race. Sort of like converting the boosters to gold even though I am clearly on the losing end. Boosters on the mobile devices are bound to be wiped out sooner or later. There is no point hoarding the boosters when the device gets old.
@christinewupp Yup I hear you. I play to win and have fun doing it. Everyone have a way they like to play it's just I couldn't understand why use gold. I guess I am just a hoarder. Plus my main account I don't have the episode race to win gold. Boy I wish I did. I definitely understand what you were saying. I'm glad you responded with this outlook on using gold.
@Alienscar Yes I am one of those people. I like to be able to win an event without using gold and massive boosters and no cheating . So I do play for hours. I get so happy and proud of myself that I can do it lol
I did it for the fun of it! Why do any of us play Candy Crush or compete in these events? Or more generally, why do we compete in ANY events or competitions? It's not usually to make a profit. People even pay money for the pleasure of competing, for example to play a game in a bowling alley, although there is no prize. I guess people just enjoy competing against others and getting the satifaction of winning.
I may well have made a net loss of gold, but I didn't play in order to win the party boosters. In fact I'm not at all a fan of this particular booster, so I'd never buy it. I prefer to use lollipops, switches and UFOs to pass levels. Also, don't forget that while we played so many episodes to win, which we had to, we won back a lot of that gold in the champions races. I didn't keep track if I made a net loss or gain, because it's fake gold and I can't use it for anything else, after all.
Personally @cookiemae the amount of gold that someone spends doesn't concern me as it has no real value
On the other hand what does concern me is the days and hours that people expend to compete in events similar to the Candy Cup.
