I just updated and the new sounds are terrible! I saw someone post the same complaint last year, not sure what's going on. Last I checked, it's Candy Crush, not Candy Splorsh!
Some of the voice overs ("Sweet!", "Divine!") also don't sound at all.
I hear it when matching candies. Other sounds seem changed too, I appreciate that the jelly fish sound is just splashy rather than a tense, almost menacing noise π but the candy match sounds don't match at all with the visuals of breaking candy. It's possible I'm noticing new sounds specifically for breaking jelly, but the sounds when matching not on jelly also seem different and boring.

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing a glitch(I?) with the sound system!!
I play my game muted! Hence, I never paid attention to the sounds! But, I will try that tonight and see if I too experience the same thing!!
Are you hearing those watery sounds (splash) while loading the game or playing a level or when you achieve something in the features, etc., The more details I have, the better explanation I can give while reporting the issue to our Candy Community In-chargeπ
