So shoot me, not a ton of words that match up :)
Anyway, it is the weekend and an event is on... I sure hope the overall difficulty is not turned up... HAHAHAHAHA
So this Friday.... no lucky boards triggered by playing win streak boosters plus starting boosters. This is not a surprise now you can buy timed starting boosters again with gold. No: Zilch, nothing. Not once have I had two out of the three starting colour bombs sit side by side. I can still play and win levels, the usual way, with patience or lollipops, but don't play starting boosters this weekend. A completely waste they are!
And exactly at midnight local the levels got easier again...
So
Mon -> Thurs they go from easy to slightly more difficult.
Fri -> Sun they go from x difficulty to y difficultly ranging from medium to hell.
The levels were 1446 and part of the next episode but it all seems normal again this morning.
Nope, levels are way less forgiving right now. Not as bad as last weekend but building streaks on pink is not guaranteed and been getting very mixed results with a full streak and 2 boosters.
Which levels are you at @Pyrolight ? I'd be keen to check them out and compare.
Uh-oh I think King just realized they did not have the weekend set to nightmare mode.
Might just have been a string a bad luck but.... hahahaha wow... just wow...
Interesting, when it comes to pre level boosters and lucky boards I started to see that around 800ish or so. I wonder if they have made some adjustments. So far this weekend is not as bad as it first seemed.

@Pyrolight After having played three new episodes on my third game (the one that doesn't use cheats) I can definitely say we are lucky this weekend. The winning strategy is to always use pre level boosters! Together with keeping my top win streak I am getting level after level with lucky boards. This strategy seems to definitely trigger lucky boards today.
I was surprised how few UFOs I needed yesterday to get through 150 new levels to keep my win streak when I ran a test on how many purple candies I could collect in the shortest time. And the levels I was playing were those horrible jelly jar levels 600 to 710! So my guess would be that maybe we're lucky this weekend. The event on is not a leaderboard event and you can collect the prize replaying old levels, so we might be lucky this weekend. I'll be testing it out today. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
