What has happened to this game?

I am in the UK and have windows 11. Had an issue with not being able to load the game at all, it just sat there doing nothing. So uninstalled the app and installed the Microsoft version. I can now play the game on the pc and have not lost my position in the game. The latest thing that doesn't work now is my friends giving me lives. I have requested twice now, lives from all my friends, over 50 of them, over the space of about 2 hours and not one friend has given me a life?? Considering the number of friends I have on my list I find this hard to believe and the envelope remains empty?? What is going on with this game? It seems everything is messed up
