I am not impressed with the chocolate box change, I can't select which item to collect like before, now it is blind selection and always gives seems me a party booster to collect on my last switch.

That’s probably the case as I opened the game around 8AM (EST) this morning. Anyway, it’s a better deal than 10 gold bars. Also, there seem to be more boosters going with that.
Probably it was already there 11 hours ago. I have gone through a few rounds. All of them 24 hours. Looks like King is rolling out 30 gold bars for all players. I have a friend whose box jump from 10 to 30 golds today and time frame drop from 3 days to 24 hours.
It popped up in my game today as a “limited offer” and I only have 13 hours to complete the gold chocolate box.

After playing the Gold Chocolate Box with 20 gold bars for a week. Several times a day. I got a surprise upgrade to 30 gold bars today. However, the time needed to complete the task has been reduced from 3 days to 24 hours.
I suppose the more you play the more likely you will get an upgrade.
I just assume anyone at the end of the game level wise are just going to have a bad time with events in general.

I’m far ahead in another account and usually go back to level 9000, 10000 and 11000 for different orders.
In the last episode of last week’s new releases, and in all three of this week’s, none of the levels are marked as hard (although they certainly are). This was obviously overlooked with all the All Stars nonsense going on.
Bit of a pain in the neck when the only task available for the last choc is to pass X hard levels.
You’re getting close to level 8328 . That’s a good level for reds, blues and oranges. Unless King start mucking with it in the meantime of course.

As Alienscar said, always take the first task you see odd are you will get booster ones after that.
I will give them that much. The rewards are now better than the old boxes. It is that last chocolate that is just silly.
I have given up playing chocolate box for quite a while due to the uninteresting rewards. Surprisingly I notice the 20 gold bars in my box today. I am quite happy that the waiting time now is just 5 minutes and you can keep playing the golden box for the 20 gold bars. I have a number boosters collected on a phone that I seldom used to play. I just use the chocolate box to sort of convert them into gold.
Yes, I’m with you totally. Someone mentioned in another thread before (maybe it’s you @Alienscar) that take the challenge when you see “Win X unplayed level” or even “Win X levels on the first try”. Because when you try to change it, it becomes more challenging or even asks for more boosters such as more UFOs or party poppers which I’m always short of. And buying those two boosters with gold bars are not equally worth the 10/20 gold bars of the gold chocolate box.
Sometimes I would take “Use 1/2 UFO” if I have Candy Royale going on with somewhere around 10-12 levels (not the 15 or 21). Because there will be a chance that I may win a timed UFO along the way, and I can use the UFO (no need to win levels) to collect the chocolate box and start the new one. Other times, I will have to let the time run out and re-start with the basic chocolate box.
One more thing, along the way, the candies I find most difficult/ rare to collect are red then probably blue. I’m close to level 8000 and all milestone levels don’t have a big board or many candies/ orders to collect, except for 6000 to collect color bombs and fish.

You aren't alone in thinking that the change is not a good one as many people have already complained about the 'blind' choice.
Other than the Classic Box you quickly learn just to take the first task presented to you as changing the task generally leads to a more unachievable one.

how do i get a level 14000 badge?
