for the last few weeks I haven’t been able to get boosters and extra steps watching ads. Is it a new update or a bug?

I had the same problem with my booster wheel this morning. Just close Candy Crush Saga and reopen it and it should work
Hello @osherhengel and welcome to this community. No, it is neither a bug nor an update. The ads are not in every player's game, so players get them and some of us don't. King divide all players up into test groups, some with and some without ads. If you made any purchases with real money you are automatically moved over to the "no ads" test group. But players get moved for other reasons as well. If you wait long enough you might get your ads back.
My screen is showing me I can claim a prize on the wheel but it isn't apprearing.
