Why do I keep losing my lives from other members?

I keep losing my lives sent to me by other members. After having over 100, I'm down to 0. This has happened 3 times. Can someone help?

    Make sure your connected to a secure network if it's Wi-Fi there's a chance you'll get disconnected and lose progress
