I am very sorry to hear about that annoying glitch in your game!!
There are other players who are experiencing various issues with the Chocolate Box feature. This is a known issue but, limited to only some players' games!! It is being investigated but the fix is taking longer than expected!!
With regards to the issue in your game, is it this the same on all your devices?

I only have the game loaded on my iPad.
My chocolate boxes keep reverting back to Classic, when I am one task away from finishing the Gold box, with still 2 days to finish!! This has also happened when I was on the last task of Silver. This has been happening for over a week now, and is ridiculous. If you are introducing tech changes, how about testing properly before rolling out??? Do you not care about UX?
I’m not receiving any rewards playing on my IPad. It’s useless to continue to play.

You are not alone and there are other players that are experiencing this issue. It was reported to the game Studio and they are investigating it. Please check —> HERE.
Right now in your game, all you can do is close the game App — restart your device and restart the game! If the Chocolate box is popping up as soon as you open the game, then, until the glitch is fixed, all you can do is to play the game on a different device🙃
