There could be a connection error that might be causing the issue with Avatars! That error could be either on King servers or in your internet itself! Once the connection stabilizes, the glitch will clear on it's own and players' profile images will reappear.
With regards logging in to Facebook every time you play, which device are you using to play the game?
All of the players I’m playing against are avatars, why did this change? And why do I have to login to Facebook every time I play?
