Does anyone know or understand what the Flavor Lab is?

It popped up in a bunch of gamea today and it looks like it has something to do with the fish booster and matching fishes.... But, I don't understand what exactly I'm supposed to do because right after it poppa up, it goes away and it's not listed in Events so I don't know what it's doing or where. 🤣🤣🤣

I noticed that but I don't understand either. However, I do notice some changes to the fish booster afterwards. Matching a fish doesn't give you 3 fishes but only one to eat the jelly. You will see many old levels with fishes appearing on your game board in the midst of playing even if you didn't select the fish booster before you start. I am not sure how many more fishes you will get if you also select your own pre-game fish booster.

Flavor Lab isn't an event, but rather a new game mechanic that allows you to create a fish by matching four candies in a 2x2 square. The drawback is that if you activate a fish candy, you'll only receive one fish instead of three. The behavior of fish has also changed. Fish that come from fish candy now have the same behavior as fish that come from bobbers, which means they can attack blockers and spaces directly below dragons on dragon levels (the latter can be a pain sometimes). Although this makes fish more useful on certain levels, it doesn't make up for the fact that only one fish is spawned, in my opinion. More so, the change can break levels that rely on spawning a large number of fish rather than their 'smart' behavior.

Not everyone is getting this test (one of my games has it, the other doesn't). If you are included in the test group, you will receive the pop-up above. The message said the test will be short, but didn't mention how short exactly.

Thanks for the info and clarification. That explains why the fish appears in those non-fish levels and those levels that fish booster was not selected. The fishes were formed by itself in the random cascade of candies during the game.

Hey! Would you like to give us your opinion?
