If you want maximise level clearance and rack up points you need lots of gold and boosters. How you obtain those is up to you. Though given the competition had a monetary prize, some are just merely "investing" money in hopes of a reward. Also this is a good money maker for King as ultimately some of those levels are not able be defeated without any boosters on first try.

The algorithm is randomised and therefore cant always rely on skill to win every level first time with no boosters or no gold spent.

I am merely being pragmatic here. As others alluded too, previous winners are utilising finances to stock up boosters and gold.

Play as you see fit, just remember it's a free for all and every man for himself so to speak.

Excuse you, 60!, I’m 55 😀 And yes I still got it, even though I’m soooo old… Why is age even something you mention, I wonder? Totally irrelevant, perhaps focus on things that really matter.
Good luck to all in the final round 🤗

If you are considering spending real money on gold bars to stay competitive in the last round, please calculate how much money you will really need to spend to stay competitive. It will probably be a lot - ask yourself if it is worth it to you. You will need to score probably well over 4 million during the 24 hours to have a chance to win, so calculate accordingly.

Doing so is not frowned upon, but probably most good players save up the gold bars in advance without paying money for them. Also remember that once you make a purchase, you will probably never receive in game ads again!

No, @Mjude don't buy any gold. Having read what you state here I would strongly advise you against spending any money for round 3. This is because you have already used up all your gold bars, so you got as far as you can get, which is a great achievement in itself. But in order to stand a chance in round 3 you would really have to still have a good amount of gold and boosters left at the start. Each round gets exponentially harder than the previous round. To remain competitive in round 3 you would have to spend hundreds of dollars, if your account approaches that round with no gold at all. You'd just be wasting good money for nothing. To put this in context: I spent 2000 gold to get to round 3, but I do still have 20,000 gold in my account to compete in round 3. I hope this makes it clear what I mean.

I must correct you here @FullmetalAlex You stated that "the algorithm is randomised". This is not correct. The algorithms are not random in Candy Crush. Nothing is random in this game. King control each board we play, on each and every level. So if we pass on our first attempt is pre determined by King's design team and never random! King change the algorithms every week so to appear "random" but that is all an illusion, like so much else in Candy Crush.

Fair enough. I know there's repetition in the coding, ofc there would be, though for the broad terms of how candy drops and way board starts for the in game levels it's fairly "random".

Unsure what tournament final is like as I've never watched it or seen past events on YT. My first year patiticipating despite casually playing for over a decade.

Sorry if I've caused any confusion with my statement, just seemed random was a good generic phrase to use given the context of the question asked and my opinion answer.

Good luck everyone in final KO.

Thanks for the advice. I have read a lot of stuff you posted and I appreciate your guidance. I’ve also been told you are a great person to listen to on here, so I’ll take that into consideration and make a decision before Saturday. What range of score do you estimate it will take to advance. I’m estimating it will take somewhere between 4 or 5,000,000 in a 24 hour period to be in first for these groups. That’s as much as I had for all of round 2. Am I way off on that number?

No problem, I thought it was not quite in the scientific sense of the word that you used it. I'm a scientist at heart and that's why I pointed it out. The way the initial board is set up is definitely written by King. It's their way to manipulate player behaviour, especially with regards to whether our two colour bombs are place side by side on the initial board. That is not chance, it's designed if we get it or not.

Good luck to you in round 3!
