Basically your understanding to the sentence "Last 7 days" is correct in English.
But you are incorrect in Candy Crush, as the Studio may not good in English expression, so these are 7 days data including today, as of the last time of data updated. For example if you create a new account to play this game at the beginning of the map today, you could see your present data in the list, no need to wait for tomorrow.
If a player has huge lead in the leaderboard, the player will decrease the levels passing daily or even stop playing now. It is a normal phenomenon.

I think King would do well next year (if they have the tournament) to update EVERYTHING real time! The number of posts regarding this subject is actually tiring to read. I understand the confusion and I think it's an easy fix!

we all wonder about the same thing even being more than 16000 level, I am doing my best and nothing! The first knockouts were totally different , I felt that all that we played there were real and honest players who respect themselves and their coplayers ! The second knockouts from the first minute I have observed that some players had such points that it was impossible! The first minute ! This made me furious ! Every minute passing I was watching unbelievable points growing like 5figures ! And I felt something was going wrong! And I became furious ! And I have seen the strange profiles I have mentioned in the begging of my discussion!

I'm not sure this is easy to fix @Jejsta123 , honestly I don't. Candy Crush is so, so data hungry. It hangs up all the time for so many players, especially those with older devices. The constant to and fro from the server is causing the game to crash a lot, as there is so much information being loaded and downloaded all the time, after each and every level played. I have noticed that even when I go into my friends list their profiles now don't load properly, with many of the images missing. This must be part of the game being unable to download everything all at once. I don't think it will be possible for us to upload each player profile live in real time. How much free space and how fast an operating system would we all need for that on our mobile phones? If only those with the latest phones and fastest broadband can play All Stars next year, then that won't make the event any fairer either. It would exclude everyone who can't afford to keep updating their phones and wifi to the latest models.
I think the player cards were a mistake and it would have been better if they had never been introduced. The game was less complicated back in 2023 before we had player cards. We don't need to know everything about every other player and I still think it's nobody's business to know where I am playing from, since when I've been playing the game nor how many colour bomb combos I have made, just as little as it's anyone's business how old I am or what I look like. Players have a right to privacy.

You can't win against their A.I. bots. If you come close to being in the number one spot, the number two starts getting 100k jumps in points. Can you get 100k or more in purple stars in one level!?
The country that this company is governed by SHOULD INVESTIGATE FOR FRAUD.
