All Stars could be so much better?

Does anyone else feel as though the All Stars competition would be more satisfying if NONE of the contestants could buy boosters or bonuses or extra turns? What if all the players could only get the free boosters from logging in daily and having won streaks? An actual competition of players ability and determination instead of their ability to spend money to win?

I made it into the Second Knockouts and admittedly spent about $3 to help myself get there and a little more once I was there, but it felt like cheating and once in the Second Knockouts it was obvious other players had spent way more than I was able to. It made the whole thing just feel gross.

So, anyone else think an actual All Stars competition would be way more fun and satisfying?

In fact I believe the winners didn't buy their way to the top at all. I got third place and I didn't spend anything at all nor did I use any cheats. I still have 10,000 gold left over in the account, because while I was competing there was nothing I could have done with that gold to help me win.The opponents were quicker than I was, they were faster scoring and my party poppers and UFOs and any boosters that I might have bought with that gold would not have helped me beat them. It's a false belief that you can win All Stars by spending lots of money. You can NOT.

The All Stars or any tournament really is there to make King money.
Why would they stop people from spending money in-game? That's what it's all about.
