Yes, there was a post that it has been talked about in the press, so at least King seem to admit to this now. It makes sense as AI technology is rapidly improving and spreading. There is nothing innately wrong with using AI at all.
It has been apparent to me personally for well over a year that the latest levels are being written by computers and not real people. For the past year or so King have used computers more and more to rewrite levels to control the outcome of each board (i.e. if we fail, are left one move short, or pass with ease). This degree of control and manipulation of player behaviour can only be exerted by using the aid of computers. Levels written by humans would actually leave us players in control of our games. And of course would cost more in wages.
I mean yeah. I saw other games where they used AI sometimes to involve the game. But I agree with @zeus77. Today's world is AI everywhere now; they're using them just to make things easier. That might be the future of technology.
If that article is true, then as though king isn't making enough money so decided to use AI to cut down peoples salary. What people call it automation. Fire people and use technology. 😟 . I totally agree with what Christinewupp said. Since I'm playing 7000ish level I can say these levels are designed by human, which needs strategic thinking before making moves. I like this 7000ish levels, it's a challenge but I'm liking it.
Apparently there was an article somewhere where they talked about using AI for it. That's what people have said here, although I admit I haven't seen the article.

So funny how lately, the majority of the new levels are just packed with blockers to make them hard, but the easy ones are so outrageously easy and braindead. The exceptions are the last levels of each race, which are admittedly always too easy to be a challenge, but are often somewhat clever. I wonder if those might still be designed by a real person?
You couldn't have found it @zeus77 , because believe it or not, this simple looking level, which might easily be thought to be found around the first 300 levels of Candy Crush is, in fact, ….

Newly released this week by King's AI who are now left in charge of creating the wonderful challenging and satisfying new levels for players who have reached the end of Candy Crush. Who could possibly ask for more variety, challenge and ingenuity.
Well, I guess the colours are different. At the top of the game we get red instead of orange.
Just accidentally stumbled on this level. I didn't expect that.
Milestone level? Oh lord. I tried 500, and all milestone levels upto 7000. No luck. When the deadline to this question is over, i would like to know the answer.

I am unable to play this level, it says I need to collect yellow candies and even before I can play I get the no moves available, unable to complete message. How do I get past it? I have posted problem in support but have not gotten a response.
I've been having trouble with trying to get to the next Ad, because every time I think the Ad is finished and I try to go to the next Ad, it takes me completely out of the game. So, then I lose my chance at the level, and the boosters that might have been able to help me. Any suggestions?
