Are (my) difficulty labels incorrect?

In the last week or two I have often wondered if my levels are labelled wrong. This is fuelled by @MannyFae reporting that their labels are different from mine. I wonder if anyone else is finding that recently the labels don't seem to correspond as closely to the difficulty encountered?

I have some theories that might explain the discrepancy. Will also show some examples of the episode I played today.

I'm still no wiser another episode on. In general I am finding that the levels labelled "super hard" are in fact impossible and in my view are like legendary. Generally the level difficulty seems to have been changed and something is off.

I find that many levels are often ridiculously easy on a first attempt. This now applies to ALL level ranges, including 4000+, 9000+ and 19,000+ where I am at in my three games. There is no challenge and the level just plays by itself. It's difficult to collect enough coloured candies on these super easy levels, such as for the troll event. These levels just self terminate with tons of moves spare no matter what moves you make.

Some of the episodes I have played the algorithms seem to be largely the old ones. Which may be why I was doing so much better in the harder levels than expected. I am used to playing the "best possible move" strategy and understand how the the frog levels work so this may explain why I have managed to pass these levels on my first attempt.

But in the episode I have played today the algorithms of all the super hard, nightmarish or legendary levels all feel like the Midsummer Meltdown ones. Starting and win streak boosters seem to have no effect on our luck. The moves I make seem to make no difference to the outcome of the level even if I create special candies and combos of these. There is no luck and there are no helpful cascades. If special candies explode they seem to do so randomly in an unhelpful manner. The level outcomes appears to be decided on just these two factors: If there is a double colour bomb on the starting board and what boosters we play in the last five moves. This is pretty much what I am witnessing in my entire second game at levels 4000+ but apparently some of the human written episodes are also having their algorithms changed to the AI version now. So the levels remain in the game, but the winning conditions are changed to the new pay-to-play version of Candy Crush.
