Colo bomb series (Race Track)

My color bombs aren't being counted in the color bomb series race. I've used a color bomb 'treat' when beginning my level, and activated during play twice (2x). I've also created and used many color bombs playing my level. However it still says 0. I haven't passed my level though, & the race doesn't clarify if the color bombs only count if the level is passed. So, do the color bombs count with each play or only if level is passed?

Most type of events like this are required to pass the level, and collection will be lost if the player don't pass it.

I also have this event in my game. I am certain that failed levels do not count. That certainly explains what you have found.
