By any chance, are you talking about Candy Crush Soda Saga game? If so, "Helper of the Week" is mainly to the player that sends most lives to their "teammates", but not through the pop-up that appears as soon as we open the game - to send lives to all our Soda friends. Also, that "helper of the week" is not really working well!
To receive lives - are you making sure to ask in the "Team" feature? If not, please make sure to do that and you should be receiving lives from your teammates👍
