I give lives to others and never ask for any, so maybe you've got the wrong friends in your game. I would invite you to be my friend but not if you call us a dirtball! Being kind and nice to others is a good start to get some friends. Some of my community friends send lots of lives without being asked, and I try to do this as well. When we send lives they do not cost us anything, so sending lives is always a good way to then get some back when you yourself ask for them. Also trying to invite as many players to be your "friend" is useful. Click on players you see competing against you in the Candy Cup, especially those you see that send lives. I often gain friends from events like these as these players are definitely real and mostly random, whereas players that King suggest to us or that appear in other events are not random.
