Let me play the game myself - please!

Hi,

This isn't a new idea, but I don't see any other place for general feedback. I've noticed that lately, the levels have gotten ridiculously easy. Way too easy. I'm on level 1450, so I've got some pretty good skills, but I don't get to use them anymore. Now the levels are like they're for little kids. I don't even get to play. They play themselves and win in one or two turns, without me doing anything! Do you know how incredibly boring that is? Please bring the games back that actually require some skill, that challenge more advanced players. I can't take much more of the kiddie games. I love Candy Crush and really miss the more challenging levels, and even the occasional medium-challenging levels. I'm just going crazy, though, with the baby levels. So boring.

Hello @lapoovee I am one of those other players QueenB is referring to who has repeatedly complained about this.

Unfortunately I am not very optimistic about the situation with regards to levels where you are playing. I have found levels 1-3000 tediously boring, and I have also played accounts where levels 1000-2000 essentially played themselves without me having to think, so I know exactly how you feel. The reason is because the AI has rewritten most of those levels and all AI written levels are in essence simpler in their algorithms than those that were created by human designers. Some of the older levels do still exist, but the more complex ones with more elements, especially those featuring conveyor belts, were removed and replaced with simpler ones. For example all levels with chocolate orders were removed and there are no longer any levels in which players need to allow chocolate to grow. Those used to be a challenge for our brains, and now all those are gone. Any levels where destroying a magic mixer too early could lead to failure have also been removed, because these levels do not function with the new super chargers or the new drive for double colour bomb combos. For the same reason levels featuring yellow keys were removed. The number of different elements has been redurced too, and of course the frog no longer appears in any level before the mid 6000s.

The 1000-1500 levels are the worst for boredom because the interesting ones with chocolate, bombs etc were replaced with simple, repetitive AI generated levels. There is some hope: The levels become a little more bearable once you reach 1500, if I remember correctly, as then one or two further elements get introduced. I hope this is still the case for you.

There do still remain a few really good levels that require some strategy in the 4000 - 18,000 ranges. 7000-10,000 probably still contain the most interesting ones, but even those have been disappearing and been replaced one by one. It's a long way for you to get to those, unfortunately. Good luck!
