Leaderboard skills: Do players have control over their scores?

I wasn't going to test this, but I have to share it here. It's just too scary:

I was playing two games/accounts in tandem, levels 296-410 , so far. That is nine episodes, one on the iPad and one on the iPhone, super chargers varying between on and off on both accounts, varying degrees of concentration and mostly leisurely play.

After nine episodes my Palooza scores are:

iPad: 511,719

iPhone: 511,709

I'm not sure what this means as it's not what I set out to test, but I find this coincidence quite unsettling.

Any thoughts?

Re supercharger: it reappears at a regular interval after expiring/ being lost in both of my games. The interval was 48 hours for quite some time; now it's 60 hours. Knowing how long it takes for it to reappear in one's game allows one to have a certain degree of control. I had to deliberately let go of a supercharger during the Candy Cup semi-final to make sure that it would be available during the final. It reappeared just when I expected it to.
